is born
 

He goes on to become an entrepreneur, philanthropist, self-help teacher, and the founder of our company.

1922 — Combined Insurance is created
 

With $100 of savings, W. Clement Stone founds the Combined Registry Company in Chicago.

1949 — We get the name you know us by today


We're renamed the Combined Insurance Company of America.

Combined Insurance begins doing business in Canada

Today, our Canadian Head Office is located in Markham, Ontario, outside of Toronto.

Stone is nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize

He’s nominated for his inspiring philosophy and philanthropy, including establishing the W. Clement and Jessie V. Stone Foundation.

We become a part of Chubb 

Our parent company, ACE, acquires the Chubb Corporation and adopts its name. The backing of Chubb brings even greater strength and stability.
